B.Dobson and Son is a family run business established in 1946. We specialise in all aspects of domestic and commercial work. We are a company with a proven track record, employing over 70 personnel.

Based in Rochdale, We operate throughout the North West providing services for some of the biggest Insurance Companies in the UK.

Mr Bernard Dobson founded the company in 1946. Originally set up as a Plastering & Tiling Company. The present Managing Director, Mr Geoff Dobson, started with the company in 1952 as an apprentice and took over the general running of the company in 1965.

By this time the company had developed into a building company, building extensions and one off houses and bungalows.  This continued into the late 1980's.  At this point we started to take on Insurance Work and House Renovations.  The amount of work from Insurance Companies became greater and greater, leading to the amount of private work declining, so much so that since the late 1990's and with the increased demand for insurance work, the direct private sector work has ceased.
